About This Dog for Adoption

Gloria's ideal home

Gloria is a beautiful 12-year-old American Bulldog who is ready to find a calm and loving retirement home. She is a happy, gentle girl who enjoys life at a slower pace and would really benefit from a private garden where she can potter about without the need to tackle lots of stairs. Quiet walking areas suit her best, and she will need adopters who are happy to enjoy the simple pleasures in life together rather than long hikes.

Gloria would like to be the only pet in her home, though she can enjoy doggy friends out on walks. She could live with children aged 11 and up, though younger calm and respectful children may also be considered. Visitors are welcome too, as Gloria enjoys meeting people, but she will need a family who can read her body language and respect her space when she is resting.

She is housetrained, polite on the lead, and once settled, she can be left for a couple of hours without worry. Out and about, Gloria will need to wear her muzzle which she does quite comfortably.

Could you be Gloria's perfect match?

Gloria is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart. She adores a good butt scratch (her absolute favourite!) and is always happy to lean in for cuddles with those she knows well. Once she feels at home, she might even bring you one of her toys as a sweet little gift.

She takes her treats gently, enjoys fuss, and walks nicely on the lead, making her a real pleasure to spend time with. While she is not overly toy-mad, she does like soft toys for a while before moving on to something else. Gloria is also very well-mannered, knowing her sit and paw, and has shown how brave she can be at the vet – a little worried at first but still cooperative throughout her check-ups.

Gloria does have some ongoing medical costs, which the team will be happy to discuss in more detail with her potential adopters. She is looking for a quiet, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years with plenty of comfort, kindness, and of course, unlimited butt scratches.
