About This Dog for Adoption

Angel's ideal home

Angel can be shy around men, but she settles quickly after a couple of meetings. She could live with children aged 14 and over. She doesn't appreciate much interaction with other dogs therefore we would recommend her being the only dog in the home. Angel is house trained and can be left for a couple of hours during the day once she is settled in. We recommend having a few meets with Angel to build up that bond before taking her home. We have sought expert advice and do not believe Angel to be XL Bully type.

Could you be Angel's perfect match?

8 year old Angel is a shy girl who lacks confidence with new people but loves hard when she knows you. She's always always excited to her favourite people and will smother them with kisses and white hairs! She loves to sit and snuggle and will happily let her carers sit on her bed with her, gently stroking her ears and rubbing her chest. Angel arrived in March 2022 and in January this year we managed to find her a foster home. She has settled very well and has been very affectionate with her foster family, and loves to curl up on the sofa. Angel is sometimes unsure about men but bonded with her male foster carer very quickly. If introduced slowly, she is much less apprehensive. She is polite around food and clean in the home, and has never been destructive. Angel was a little unsettled for the first couple of days in her new environment, but now likes to sit and watch out of the window, and she is a different dog than we've seen in kennels. She's much more relaxed and laid back and likes to snooze on the sofa and have occasional zoomies. She gains in confidence every day, but is still walked at quiet times so she can adjust to things gradually as she is easily spooked by noises. If allowed time to settle, she is going to make someone a wonderful companion, and they'll love her as much as we do.
