About This Dog for Adoption

Tilly's ideal home

Tilly needs a home free from other pets and where any children are older teens. She is house trained and can be left alone for four hours. Tilly does get recurring ear infections and also has dry eye. She is not considered to be XL Bully type.

Could you be Tilly's perfect match?

To know Tilly is to love her! She is a firm favourite with her carers and gives back the love she receives tenfold. Tilly is a big ol' girl with some age related aches and pains and she's had a tough time of late. Her favourite thing is to be made a fuss of, but she's less keen on formal handling such as baths and ear cleaning. She loves playtime though, and will happily entertain herself (and us!) with a few things to fling around and be silly with. Tilly will happily approach people for a fuss but can get spooked if her personal space is invaded unexpectedly. She does seem more comfortable with women but has taken quickly and wonderfully to her male foster carer. She is best suited to a home where everyone is over the age of 16, and can recognise when Tilly doesn't want to be bothered, for instance if she has a nice long lasting treat. Tilly really likes to get out and explore and she simply loves being in the car! Tilly isn't a fan of other dogs and will make her feelings clear if they're too close. It's best to allow her to keep some distance between herself and other dogs. Tilly is a real sweetheart and shows this to anyone who takes the time to get to know her. She deserves to be loved and at the heart of a family.

American Bully Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a American Bulldog.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the American Bully Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
