About This Dog for Adoption

Charlie's ideal home

Charlie is a sweet excitable pup who is looking for a home with Bull-lurcher experience that can give him the time and exercise he needs. He's looking for an home where all members of his family are over 16 with visiting children aged 14+ as he can be boisterous and bouncy. This not so little puppy is looking for a home with patience and low leaving hours that can slowly be built up.

Could you be Charlie's perfect match?

Charlie is a sweet clever boy who is able to live with other dogs. He loves to wrestle with his doggy friend here at the centre, so he would be looking for another dog in the home that can keep up with his energy. He is a friendly special guy that is happy to say hello to everyone he meets, he can pull on the lead because of this but is smashing his loose lead walking training! He is a confident boy who will need lots of mental stimulation due to his breed. He is a smart boy who is toilet trained and finds it easy to settle when someone is around. He loves a game of tug a war with his favourite people and will make someone an amazing companion.

American Bully Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a American Bulldog.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the American Bully Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
