About This Dog

Dusty's ideal home

Dusty can live with other dogs and children of high school age. He will need all his basic training and is a mix of large, strong and active breeds, and shouldn't be left alone for quite some time. Dusty has mitral valve dysplasia, a heart condition that is expected to shorten his lifespan and he will require medication in the future. Feel free to contact us for more information.

Could you be Dusty's perfect match?

Dusty is a rowdy pup who loves to tustle with his sister for hours on end! He is blissfully unaware that he has mitral valve dysplasia, a condition that causes his heart to leak blood back into the atrium. As Dusty and his heart grow, this is likely to lead to congestive heart failure. Whilst we don’t know how long he has, Dusty continues to enjoy his puppyhood, confident and happy to explore his surroundings, unaware of our concerns for him. He’s a Catahoula Leopard Dog/American Bulldog cross and likely to be a big, active boy. Lots of reward-based training wil put him on the right path, and he could live with an adult dog but that’s not essential if we can find him the right home.
